CURRENT ACTIVITIES

The organization is currently involved in a variety of programme activities, among them the following

• Kenya sanitation and Hygiene Improvement program (KSHIP)

PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES

• Involved in an anti-human trafficking initiative with the American Bar Association (Africa Law Initiative) to carry out public education and awareness raising on issues of human trafficking
• In collaboration with International Organization for Migration (IOM), designing and implementing a national strategy for public awareness on issues of human trafficking
• Working with Care–International (Kenya Chapter) on Girl Child Rights Programme using information, education and communication (IEC) material advocacy strategy
• Conducted HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns in Mandera district in conjunction with a local CBO, Save Pastoralists Community
• Carrying out Female Genital Mutilation Abandonment Campaigns in North Eastern and Eastern Provinces
• Planning to produce a Female Genital Mutilation documentary in Somalia in collaboration with UNESCO- Somalia
• Global Child Hope engaged with UNAIDS-Somalia, IOM regional office, UNICEF-Somalia, UNHCR-Somalia and WFP-Somalia on a joint effort to formulate a strategic way forward in addressing the interrelated issues of the protection of IDPs, returnees and refugees vis-à-vis trafficking of women and girls and HIV/AIDS
