GCH is an initiative that was developed by a group of human rights advocates in Kenya in collaboration with the parents of a Somali girl from North-eastern Province of Kenya. The girl, Fouzia Hassan, was circumcised, barely at the age of 8, by her mother in order to subscribe to the old age tradition of female circumcision, a ritual that affects millions of young girls and women around the world. The consequences of this act were thought-provoking hence the formation of an organization whose aim is to promote the rights of children and women around the world.
Our Vision
The organization shall share and act together in giving care and support to the less fortunate in society.
Our Mission
To facilitate the voluntary rescue, care, support and re-socialization of needy children and persons in the society in the proclamation and demonstration of the holistic program of the organization through corporate activities and by enabling community programs.
